Looking for father's WWII unit and records

Question

I'm trying to get information about my father's service in WWII. His discharge papers read MED DEPT 932ND SIG BN SEP TACT AIR COMD. His battle and campaigns read GO 33 40 WD 45 which I believe these translate to Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. 
 I would love to know the dates and location of his unit - in particular, D-Day. He was a medic (MEDICAL TECH 409) and would never discuss what he saw or experienced but I know he suffered with the memories his entire life.

 The National Archives at College Park has custody of the series World War II Operations Reports (entry NM-3 427) within the Records of the Adjutant General's Office (Record Group 407). Military unit files among these records consist mostly of historical reports, after action reports, unit journals, and general orders. We located a history file for the 932nd Signal Battalion for the date range February 17-October 1943 (SGBN-932-0.2) and General Orders for 1943 and 1945 (SGBN-932-1.13) in box 18344. We were unable to locate records specifically for the medical department of the 932nd Signal Battalion in our custody, but the department may be mentioned in the history file. 
 
 We searched next for the 932nd Signal Battalion in the series Station Lists (entry NM-3 377-A) within Record Group 407. We were able to locate the Headquarters of the 932nd Signal Battalion around the time of D-Day in Aldermaston, England (box 18). More specific information as to the location and actions of this unit on dates of interest may be found in the Morning Reports. Morning reports for Army units (from November 1, 1912 to 1959) are in the custody of the National Archives in St. Louis, MO. Please contact them for access to these records.
