Air Section 202nd Field Artillery Group,

Air Section 202nd Field Artillery Group,

Dear History Hub Community,

I am desperately trying to find a picture or short movie, that shows our Piper L-4 H spotter plane with the serial number 43-30211 during his service time in WW 2, when he was attached to the 202nd Field Artillery Group in the ETO (First US Army, VIII Corps, Third US Army, Ninth US Army, XIII Corps).

Furthermore I am interested in obtaining as much information as possible (pictures, documents) covering the Air Section of the 202nd Field Artillery Group. I am particularly highly interested in names of pilots, mission reports and documents which show the serial numbers of the planes that were attached to the Air Section of the 202nd Field Artillery Group.

The serial numbers were painted on the tail fins of the spotter planes, and as far as I am informed, all the planes attached to the 202nd Field Artillery Group carried the number 27 followed by an alphabetical letter painted on the fuselage.

Any help is highly appreciated!!! I thank you very much in advance for your kind help in achieving this quite ambitious goal. Looking forward to the community's response!

With all my very best wishes

Reto Renfer
