Here is some information that I hope will be useful:
Maurice (G.?) Galde 36206729 Enl. 9 April 1941 at Milwaukee, WI Discharged 15 July 1945 DOB: 25 Jan 1919 (if this is the right Maurice!)
I cannot confirm his assignment to the B Co 316th MB, but here is info on the unit:
The 316th Medical Battalion was assigned to the 91st Infantry Division; B Co of the 316th MB was assigned to the 362nd Infantry Regiment Combat Team (of the 91st ID).
The 362nd arrived in North Africa on 22 April 1944 and landed in Italy on 19 June 1944, It was involved in the Rome-Arno, North Apennines and Po Valley Campaigns in Italy 1944-45.
The 91st ID returned to the USA on 10 September 1945 and was deactivated on 1 December 1945 at Camp Rucker, AL.

Dan, Thank you for replying about my grandfather! His middle name was Gordon and everything you mentioned was on his DD214 except the 362nd Infantry Combat Team. His DD214 states that he left the ETO 28 June of 45 and arrived in the States 8 July 45 he was given an Honorable Discharge at Fort Sheridan Illinois. His recorded paygrade was Tech 4. I would like to hear from you if you have more information. His record was lost in the 73 fire at the National Archives and I was fortunate that the Register of Dees in our hometown had a copy of his discharge and DD214. I sent the Archives a certified copy and they needed some addition information (personal) that I am sending so they can rebuild his record. I am building a shadow box for his service and for my grandmother (W.A.V.E) also from WW2. is there any personal info that would help you in additional data? Thank you again! Chris Galde (Grandson)

This particular link discusses the structure and function of the generic division Medical Battalion. It may give you a better idea of what your grandfather did during the war. It does have some unit histories, but not for the 316th MB, unfortunately.
