Trying to find my grandfathers company within the Army 112th infantry Regiment WW2

Question

I am trying to find any records that may help locate which company my grandfather was in while serving in WW2 in the 112th Infantry Regiment. His name was Sigurd Erickson (39 195 765) and he was a Heavy Machine Gunner; and I know he was in Ardennes. I have attached his discharge papers to help with any questions that may arise.  The Textual Reference Archives II Branch (RR2RR) has custody of the Records of the Adjutant General's Office, 1917- (Record Group 407) and the Records of U.S. Army Operational, Tactical, and Support Organizations (World War II and Thereafter) (Record Group 338). Military unit files among these records consist mostly of historical reports, after action reports, unit journals, and general orders. They do not include personnel or medical information. We do not have a name index to these records. 
 Within Record Group 407 Entry NM-3 427 - World War II Operations Reports, 1940&ndash;1948 records specific to the 112th Infantry Regiment are located in boxes 7468- 7478. While these records do not generally contain personnel information they may be helpful in identifying the specific company your grandfather served with. A clue is that his CIB was awarded 10 October 1944. 
 You need to request the General Orders of the 112th Infantry Regiment for that month or hire a researcher to locate the GOs. The GO dated 10 October should state his company.
