Looking for records of my grandfather that serve and fight together with the US ARMY against the Japanese in Philippines during WW2. His name is Fortunato Magillano.

My grandfather’s name is Fortunato D. Magillano. He and some of his neighbor's in Negros Oriental, Philippines were recruited to join the army and fight against the Japanese. Unfortunately, my grandfather didn’t survive the war between Filipino-American vs. Japanese. My grandmother became widow and left with two children, my father and his younger sister. After the war my grandmother received letters from US ( Government or the Military), but they didn’t got any benifits up to the point that she gave. Unlike the families of those neighbors that also joined the Army that came back home after war they received military pensions.
