Wanting to find information on my Great Uncle, Walter S. Strozyk or after leaving the army in 1919 he went by Walter Stephens. He left Walter Reed in 1919 after surviving a mustard gas attack in France. He was with the 52nd Engineers Comp C.

Walter S. Strozyk left the army from a stay at Walter Reed hospital in 1919.  He changed his name to Walter Stephens.    He enlisted in 5-1-1918 in the army and was in the 52nd Engineers Comp C.  He was sent to France.  Walter had been enlisted in the army in 1914 but went AWOL and was thrown out at Fort Bliss, but was drafted into WWI while he was in Maryland.

Thank you
