Can anyone tell me anything about the 178th Ordnance Depot Company and what their function was during WWII?

I&rsquo;ve been researching this for many years now & to find information on Ordnance companies is notoriously difficult, as I understand it - the 178th Ord Depot Co formed part of the 310th Ordnance battalion.

 We searched the National Archives Catalog and located the World War II Operations Reports, 1940-1948 in the Records of the Adjutant General's Office, 1917 - 1985 (Record Group 407) that includes unit records for the 178th Ordnance Depot Company (Box 17682) during WWII.
