I am trying to get details of what unit my grandfather was attached to or belonged to when he was wounded on March 14 1945 during the battle of Remagen. His enlisted record states he was with the 645th Tank Destroyer Battalion but his separation qualification record described him as Rifelman as a member of the 9th. Infantry Division. He talked about the battle of the bulge and during the Ludendorff bridge battle his commander had the stop and pray before the crossed.
