After action report for May 10, 1969 D Company, 151st Infantry II Field Force
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located a series titled Infantry Unit Records, 1965 - ca. 1973 in the Records of the U.S. Forces in Southeast Asia (Record Group 472). Unfortunately, there are no unit records for D Company, 151st Infantry among the records. Further research within the unit records for II Field Force, Vietnam will be necessary to determine what information exists concerning May 10, 1969. For more information about these non-digitized records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RR2R) at archives2reference@nara.gov.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
Sincerely,

This after action report should be within the II Field Force records. Is it possible to have someone look? What are my alternatives?
A search of records of II Field Force Vietnam did not locate an after action report of D-151st as requested. Typically after action reports from Vietnam deal with named operations or significant contact with the enemy; they are not generated on a daily basis. The G-3 daily journal from May 10, 1969, does reference the company and notes contact resulting in one KIA and two WIAs among friendly forces, and the situation reports include similar information. A search of after action reports among IIFFV's G-3 section as well as those maintained by the USARV Command Historian (UD Entry 42196) and by MACV's Evaluation and Analysis Branch (A1 Entry 122) did not locate records specifically of the company. All of the records mentioned above are among Record Group 472, Records of the United States Forces in Southeast Asia, 1950-1975.
You are welcome to examine such records in the research room at our facility in College Park. All of these records are at our facility in College Park.
