US army hospital locations in Europe during WWII

Question

HI, I'm trying to find out what army hospitals were in the vicinity of Werbomont, Belgium (I think I have the correct spelling) during December 1945. Or more specifically, what evacuation or field hospitals may have been attached to the 82nd Airborne during this time period? My dad was in the 320th GFAB of the 82nd and was hospitalized briefly while his unit was in the Werbomont area in December 1945. I know the 24th evac hospital was near his unit earlier (also Belgium, Oct 44) but don't know if it moved with the airborne units. Any help would be appreciated.&#160; joan&#160;

Dear Ms. Stachnik, &#160; Thank you for posting your request on History Hub! &#160; We searched the Records of the Office of the Surgeon General (Army) (Record Group 112) and located an annual report of the 24th Evacuation Hospital for 1944 in the Unit Annual Reports, 1940 - 1949 . The report indicates that the 24th was stationed in St. Trond (Sint-Truiden) , Belgium from December 1-19. St. Trond is northwest of Liege and Werbomont is south of Liege, Belgium. &#160; We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research! &#160;

Dear Ms. Stachnik, From St. Trond, Belgium, the 24th Evacuation Hospital moved to Brandenburg (or Bardenburg as spelled in the annual report), Germany (December 19-23, 1944) then to Brand, Germany on December 23, 1944. &#160;
