I'm looking for any records or photographs pertaining to my late grandfather's unit in WW2. Leroy Francis Spaulding saw combat with C Battery, 160th Field Artillery, 45th ID. He was originally part of a different unit prior to WW2 but volunteered for overseas combat after Pearl Harbor and was assigned to the 160th FA, 45ID.
He participated in the invasions of Sicily, Italy, and southern France and was in Munich at the end of the war. He told me he had earned enough points to come home quickly at the end of the war.
