I am trying to confirm if there is an entry in the deck log for August 23 / 24 1944. It relates to the discovery of the wreck of the PT-509, the Sassy Sue.

While this is not the deck log per se, there is a series of WWII War Diaries (https://catalog.archives.gov/id/4697018) that contains entries for the USS Borum from 08/01/1944 to 08/31/1944, among others.
