It's a free service from the Church of Latter Day Saints; you just need to create an account. They do have US census logs from the early 1900s on that site. Sometimes a bit difficult to read tho, and names are sometimes misspelled. Hope this might help. joan

I would start by searching the NYC Public Library catalog online. They have scanned many books so there might be one there, if not they surely have a physical copy. Also look at worldcat.org to see if other libraries near you have something.
