Does anyone have any advice about where in RG 226 to look for the SFU4 Reports?

          Dear Ms. Plowden,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched the Records of the Office of Strategic Services (Record Group 226) and located two parts (“7th Army Info” and “4 SFU”) of a file unit (Folder 4: “Algiers - SI - R+C - 3”; Box 1) in the series titled Washington & Field Station Files [UD 194, NAID 6458247]. These two parts include correspondence and messages during the time when 4 SFU was functioning from August 15, 1944 to September 9, 1944. We also located an additional file unit (Folder 227: “Capt. Jack Watson - SPOC - SFU #4”; Box 44) in the series titled Field Station Special Funds Finance Records [UD 197A, NAID 6487114]. It includes information about who received funds and what they were used for. We were unable to locate a report by 4 SFU.

For access to these records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.

We hope this information is useful. Best of luck with your research!
