Thank you for contacting History Hub regarding how to order original military pension records. You may order records online or by mail with this hyperlink.
Or, you may review the pension file in person for free at Washington D.C. National Archives. You may make copies or take pictures if you pull the pension record.

Your Great Great Grandfather was a Ferrier during the civil war. You found his invalid records. Was able to find his enlistment records for his service during the civil war. What information are you looking Cathy.

Hello,
The pension file cannot be requested via the archives1reference@nara.gov email. All pension files prior to 1917 must be ordered in person in Washington D.C. for copying or photographing.
OR, as mentioned in my reply above, a researcher may order the file online or by mail using our form list on www.archives.gov/forms. There is not an alternative to this method of ordering a pension file.
