The National Archives at College Park, Maryland holds many records pertaining to the U.S. Navy’s administration and execution of operations during World War II. Below are a few examples of such records that may support your research:
The series World War II War Diaries, Other Operational Records and Histories, ca. 1/1/1942 -- ca. 6/1/1946 includes several file units pertaining to the USS Intrepid (CV11).
The series Confidential and Secret General Administrative Files, ca. 1-1943 -- ca. 5/1945 contains administrative and operational records of the U.S. Pacific Fleet.
The series Confidential and Unclassified General Administrative Files, 1944 - 1946 contains administrative and operational records of the Third Fleet, to which the USS Intrepid was assigned.
