Military records in our custody do not include the record of assignment and operational activity of individual pieces of equipment, including parachutes. Under normal War Department and Department of the Army records management procedures, such documentation would be destroyed after initial administrative use.

thanks so much. My Dad was shot down over Germany 18 April 1944 and a PoW
at Stalag 17B for over a year. I am wanting to get a certificate for him of
the Caterpillar Club for my family and the application asks for parachute
manufacturer-after researching I discovered several models and
manufacturers involved so I may have to ‘wing’ it.

My uncle was a WW2 POW. And NARA has a computer Registry of WW2 POW's, which displays the rank and camp .
Unfortunately, they say the cheapest bidder makes the parachutes for Uncle Sam and Aunt Samantha.
Maybe the parachute model, was an attempt at humor?
