Seeking records of the 4345th Quartermaster Service Company

    Roberto Bonefont Sr Newbie

How do I find information on Puerto Rican Army units serving in the Philippines during WWII? I am looking for specific information on US Army Puerto Rican 4345th Quartermaster Service Company, assigned from Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico.  Any documents or rosters,  concerning any combat theater assignments in the Philippines, perhaps Manila or other island areas during the years of 1943 through 1946.  Thank you.

          Dear Mr. Bonefont,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched National Archives Catalog and located the World War II Operations Reports, 1940-1948 in the Records of the Adjutant General's Office, 1917 - 1985 (Record Group 407) that may include records of the 4345th Quartermaster Service Company during WWII. For more information about these non-digitized records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and pursuant to guidance received from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), NARA has adjusted its normal operations to balance the need of completing its mission-critical work while also adhering to the recommended social distancing for the safety of NARA staff. As a result of this re-prioritization of activities, you may experience a delay in receiving an initial acknowledgement as well as a substantive response to your reference request from RDT2. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience.

For general information about various Quartermaster units, please see the Army Quartermaster Museum.

We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
