Re: Seeking Byberry Hospital records of Maime Schiller
Susannah Brooks Dec 26, 2020 1:07 PM (in response to Rebecca Blatt Silverstein)Records for the Philadelphia State Hospital (Byberry) through 1942 are available at the Pennsylvania State Archives
http://www.phmc.state.pa.us/bah/aaGuide/AA-RG-23.html
I would suggest that you ask them where records after 1942 might be. I know from internet searches that when Byberry was closed that records where found just thrown across the floor, so they may no longer exist.
The form for requesting records can be found at https://www.phmc.pa.gov/Archives/Documents/Pennsylvania-State-Archives-Mail-Reference-Order-Form.pdf
What state did Louis and Betsy die in? He is buried in Philadelphia, but I did not find death certificates for them in PA.

Rebecca Blatt Silverstein Jan 10, 2021 11:06 AM (in response to Susannah Brooks)Betsy and Louis died in Philadelphia. They may have been buried in Belvue Cemetery which was dissolved and the bodies were moved to Philadelphia Memorial Park in Frazier, but they have no records for them or a great uncle Jacob mark Schiller.

Susannah Brooks Jan 10, 2021 8:03 PM (in response to Rebecca Blatt Silverstein)This is the death certificate for Louis Schiller:
Note that he was not buried at Belvue, but at HarNebo. I found a long list of burials at Har Nebo, and find not only Louis, but also Betty (died in 1941) buried in the same lot. https://jgsgp.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Har-Nebo-by-Name.pdf (go to page 682 to find burial locations for Schiller)
Jacob was buried at Belvue according to his death certificate:

Dear Ms. Silverstein,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
In addition to the information from the previous posters, we suggest that you review the FamilySearch research wiki for United States Death Records before searching for records of Louis and Bessie Schiller from the appropriate state.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
