Where can I find a photo related to the Battle of Attu?

There are two series in particular you might want to check out at the National Archives at College Park (Archives II).

The first is "Background Files to the Study 'The Capture of Attu,' 1944-1945" held within the textual branch of Archives II. You can contact them at Archives2reference@nara.gov

The second is the series "Photographic Scrapbooks of World War II Military Units, 1941-1945" held by the Still Pictures branch of Archives II. You can contact them at stillpix@nara.gov.

Additionally, I suggest you browse both the National Archives catalog, and the National Park Service's Aleutian World War II page which has some background information and photographs as well.

There are some interesting motion pictures of Attu available, although NOT all of them are currently available online.
