Re: What was your most satisfying work?
Larry Shockley Dec 5, 2016 1:06 PM (in response to Thomas Richardson)I think that its hard to beat the first time you get an article published and you get to see it sent all over the world via the internet. In my case I took a story from a local (West Virginia) history book, created a research paper out of it for a college class, sent it to a local newspaper as an after thought, and now almost a decade later I continue to get inquires about it from all over the globe. It was hardly an extensive work, but it was my FIRST to earn a reaction. http://www.appalachianhistory.net/2010/12/president-mckinleys-assassin-and-the-charleston-connection.html

It is very gratifying to see all your research and patience pay off when you see the final published product. I had my first article published last year and while arduous, it was an enormous relief seeing the end result!
