Seeking proper military honors for father

My father passed away a month ago and he never received his proper military honors. I’m looking to working on getting him the proper military honors. I’m not sure what went on between the funeral home and working on getting them or if they even attempted to. We didn’t even get a proper escort to Canton, Georgia

Funeral planners or family members of eligible deceased veterans may request Military Funeral Honors by contacting the Military Funeral Honors coordinator listed in the Military Funeral Honors Directory.

If you need documentation concerning your father’s military service to establish his eligibility for funeral honors, please follow the procedures at Emergency Requests and Deadlines. If there is any information requested by SF-180 or eVetRecs that you do not know, you may omit it or provide estimates, however the more information you provide, the easier it will be to locate the correct files.
