Seeking copy of "Other Individuals And Organizations Involved Or Interviewed"

    Clayton Ogilvie Newbie

I am looking for a microfilm copy of "Other Individuals And Organizations Involved Or Interviewed" in one of the New England states to inventory as I have the "Key Persons" files of the Warren Commission.

          Dear Mr. Ogilvie,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched the National Archives Catalog and located Records Relating to Other Individuals and Organizations Involved or Interviewed, 11/30/1963 - 9/24/1964 in the Records of the President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, 1954 - 1965 (Record Group 272).  This series has been reproduced in microfilm as Microfilm Publication M1402 'Other Individuals and Organizations' File of the President's Commission of the Assassination of President Kennedy, 1963-1964. Both the original records and the microfilm are located at the National Archives at College Park, Maryland. Under normal conditions, you or your representative would be able to view M1402 in NARA’s Microfilm Reading Room (Room 4050) at the National Archives in College Park, MD. No copies are available at NARA’s other locations.

You also may order copies of M1402. The National Archives has discontinued making microfilm copies of our microfilm publications, and are instead making digital reproductions on DVDs.  To  order online visit https://www.archives.gov/shop/ and click on "Order Reproductions Online." Select "microfilm." Type in the microfilm publication number M1402 and click on "search." A listing of the publication title will appear. Click on the name of the publication.  That will take you to a summary page.  On the right hand side of the page will be a pdf file. Click on "View Important Publication Details." This is a listing of the contents of the microfilm rolls. In the middle of the summary page, click on "Continue to Order" to purchase a DVD of the rolls in which you are interested.

Please note that all National Archives research rooms nationwide are closed to the public until further notice due to COVID-19. Furthermore, the National Archives has suspended reproduction and digitization services until further notice. Orders will not be serviced until operations can resume safely. Once operations resume, document reproduction requests will be filled in the order in which they were received. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please monitor https://www.archives.gov/coronavirus for updates to our operating status.

There may be libraries or other institutions in the New England area that have copies of M1402, but the National Archives does not keep a list of external organizations that have copies of the publication.  We searched WorldCat and found a listing for a copy of M1402 at the New York Public Library.

We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
