          Dear Ms. Gould,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

There may be some lists of employees in the records of the Boston Navy Yard. For access to these records, please contact the National Archives at Boston (RE-BO) via email at boston.archives@nara.gov.

If you are looking for information about a specific employee, we suggest that you request a copy of his or her Official Personnel File (OPF).  OPFs for individual civilian employees of the Department of the Navy prior to 1952 are in the custody of the National Archives at St. Louis P.O. Box 38757, St. Louis, MO 63138. Please include the full name used during Federal employment, date of birth, Social Security Number (if applicable), name and location of employing Federal agency, beginning and ending dates of Federal Service. For more information, the web site is https://www.archives.gov/st-louis/archival-programs/civilian-personnel-archival/index.html.  These records do not include files for employees of government contractors.

We hope this information is helpful.  Best of luck with your research!
