1 person found this helpfulDear Mr. Pentheroudakis,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located a series titled Case Files of Pension Applications Based on Service Completed in the Years 1817 to Approximately 1903 in the Records of the Records of the Department of Veterans Affairs (Record Group 15). Some records are digitized and available in the Catalog but not all. We were unable to locate any information about Emil Pack’s military service during the Mexican War with any Army units nor in any pension application files at the National Archives.
We also searched Family Search and located zero military service results for Emil Pack in the Mexican War and also zero pension results for for him.
You may wish to review the NARA’s Mexican War; Washington State Archives or Washington State Historical Society for more information.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!

Turns out Emil was still using the French spelling of his first name (Emile) when he first arrived to New Orleans in April 1847. Using that spelling I did find him on FamilySearch. He served in Company B in the 3rd Battalion of Louisiana Volunteers.
I will follow up with NARA, however, to see if I can get exact dates when he served.
Thank you again!
