    Seeking records of Emil Pack who fought in Mexican-American War

      I am researching a certain Emil Pack, born in Switzerland in 1829, emigrated to the U.S. in 1847, arriving in New Orleans on the Taglioni on April 19, 1847.

      Pack became a U.S. citizen in 1855 and eventually moved to Washington Territory. On April 26, 1893, a notice in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer stated that an Emil Pack and others in Washington State had been granted pensions, but gave no details. A few days earlier, on April 22, 1893, The Morning Call in San Francisco had also published a notice that "Mexican survivor" Emil Pack of Washington State had been granted a pension, among others.

      My question: Are there enlistment records for that war? I'd like to confirm the dates when Pack fought in that war. Thank you!
