Seeking Records of SS Chirripo during WWII

I'm researching my fathers naval service during WWII.  He was stationed on the SS Chirripo from February 1943 until (+-) mid 1945.  I have been unsuccessful in finding any accounts of her service during WWII and cannot find any reference of her service to the USN.  I do know she was a steam ship captured from Germany in 1941 and used as a supply ship during the war.  I know she was the first ship to deliver food supplies to Martinique from an article in the local newspaper about my dad.  I also know from the same article that he was on convoy duty in the Atlantic and the Pacific which I'm assuming was all aboard the Chirripo. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
