The first transcription I did was captions of Forestry photos. I love them because they are a quick transcription and I love looking at the old photos. There are more than 6000 in this series so hopefully people will keep transcribing them! Until the series is finished they will be a part of transcription missions. Transcription Missions

My first transcription was writing captions for military photographs at the Eisenhower Presidential Library. They were Army Unit Records from the 99th and 83rd Infantry Divisions. It was interesting looking at so many pictures of troops in Belgium before and during the Battle of the Bulge.

I think my first were some of the Truman menus: https://catalog.archives.gov/search?q=truman%20menus&rows=20&offset=0&tabType=document&facet=true&facet.fields=oldScope,… They are short and easy and I love seeing what Truman ate in 1948/1949. I love what was considered vogue then.
