15th Congress, 1st Session. Military Affairs Committee dated 13 Mar 1818. Looking for details from summary record of John Harman.

Heirs of John Harman requested pension or other relief after his death from wounds received in service.  Resolution summary in 15th Congress 1st Session, date: 13 Mar 1818, journal page 319.  Referred to Military Affairs Committee.  House disposition: Discharged; laid on table.  Where can I find more details regarding this case, more than just the summary?

I found this summary on Ancestry, with the source shown below.

The records of the House Committee on Military Affairs are with the Center for Legislative Archive. According to our finding aid for House records, there are both committee papers (HR15A-D8.2) and petitions (HR15A-G8.1) from the Committee on Military Affairs in the 15th Congress in our holdings. We checked both file codes however and unfortunately did not find any records relating to John Harman or his family.
Next I searched the Century of Lawmaking website to see if there is additional published information. Century of Lawmaking has the House and Senate Journals, the Congressional Record and its predecessors, and other records of the earliest Congresses.
There is a little more information on Harman's family available in the the Journal of the House of Representatives -- on March 10, 1818 is the entry:
On motion of Mr. Rhea, "Resolved, that the committee on Military Affairs, do inquire into the expediency of placing on the pension list, Sarah Harman, the widow, and James Harman, Washington Harman, and Mary Ann Harman, the children of John Harman, deceased, who belonged to a company of artillerists on board of the United States frigate, Guerrier, and who, being on board of said frigate, in the service of the United States, was wounded in the engagement with the Algerines, on the 21st July, 1815, and died in consequence of his wounds."
And then on March 13, 1818 in the House Journal is the entry:
"Ordered, That the committee on Military Affairs [text omitted] be also discharged from a further consideration of the resolution in behalf of the widow and children of John Harman, deceased, and that it lie on the table."
Let me know if you have further questions.
    Cheers!
