looking for naturalization paperwork

How do I get the naturalization file for Alfred Van Slyke, naturalized in 1880 at the 7th District Court, Yates Center, Woodson County, Kansas? Index card attached.

I looked at the court's website, didn't see an obvious place to send a request...

Thank you!

Thank you for posting your question on History Hub!

Since the naturalization was completed at the county court rather than a federal court, the National Archives will not maintain a copy of the court records.
Although the Kansas State Historical Society (kshs.org) does maintain some records from Woodson County, it does not appear that copies of naturalization records transferred to their holdings.
Your best next step will be to directly contact the Woodson County Court Clerk's office to inquire about the whereabouts of their court's naturalization records.  It's possible they are still with the court, but they may also have transferred to a local historical society or other community organization.  The court clerk should be able to assist in your search.

We invite you to continue the conversation with community members on History Hub, but should you have follow up questions for the staff at the National Archives at Kansas City, please email us at kansascity.archives@nara.gov so that we can assist you further.

We hope this helps with your research!
