The National Archives has immigration records for arrivals to the United States from foreign ports between approximately 1820 and December 1982 (with gaps). The records are arranged by port of arrival. Most of the immigration records have been microfilmed, and the microfilms have been digitized and are available online. For information about these resources, please consult our webpage https://www.archives.gov/digitization/digitized-by-partners. Please note that researchers can access these online resources free of charge from any NARA facility.
We hope this assists you with your research!

We searched the National Archives Catalog and located Passenger Lists of Vessels Arriving at San Juan, Puerto Rico, October 7, 1901–June 30, 1948 in the Records of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (Record Group 85). For more information about these records, please email the National Archives in Washington, DC - Textual Reference (RR1R) at archives1reference@nara.gov.
The web page Browse Available Records by Port of Entry provides links to these records on Ancestry and AncestryInstitution. Please note that there may be a fee for using Ancestry. Instead, please check for access at your local library, since many library systems subscribe to genealogical sites and make them free for their patrons to access. You may also view Ancestry for free at one of NARA's facilities. For the nearest NARA location, please consult our Visit Us webpage.
In addition, we suggest that you review the information and resources available on the National Archives website, including Immigrant Records at the National Archives, Immigration Records, and Passenger Arrival Records. We also suggest that you review the History Hub blogs Passenger Arrival Records at the National Archives, Passenger Arrival List Research Tips, and Immigration and Naturalization Records: Where are they?.
We hope this is helpful with your research!
