It would be easier to find someone by name. A free Ellis Island utility can be seen, covering 1927, at: https://stevemorse.org/ellis2/elliswhite.html. But if you want to plow through the ship manifest. go to.... I was going to show you https://stevemorse.org/ellis/boat.html but it shows no record of that ship during 1926 through 1929 at least. So a search for the ship online came up with Ascania..... let's try that. And I see by entering that at the given URL, a March 7, 1927 arrival. Starting at stevemorse.org/.../mmplus.html
Thank you for this resource.
I am looking for my grandfather's arrival. According to Immigration papers he arrived on March 7 1927 in NY from Cobh Ireland but I cannot locate him on Ellis Island database. His name: James Brennan. Birth year 1902
I would like to see those 'immigration papers' or a link to them if online. Who was he going to in the U.S. or the location where he was going? Who is the nearest relative's name he left behind ? What is the name of his birthplace.... specifically?

I was able to find the manifest and contacted Ellis Island. The database lists the first 10 on his log - he is number 21. According to the manifest, he was going to his Sister (Mary Brennan) n Pittsfield, MA and he lists his father Thomas as nearest relative.
Birthplace: His birth certificate says Co. Galway, Clonbrock, Mountbellow
