Thank you for posting your question on History Hub!

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is the repository of the permanent and historically valuable records of the United States Federal Government, which includes those of the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court and federal court system, and the numerous agencies and departments of the Executive Branch. Records are arranged by the federal office or court that created them, not by name or subject.

You are looking for records that would not have been created by the Federal Government, so it is unlikely that we will have anything other than immigration or census records. It sounds like you’ve already tried those. We suggest that you contact a local historical society or the state archives to see if they can assist you in locating local records.

We hope this assists you with your research!

    Sincerely,
