Looking for records on Polish great grandmother Johanna Pospeieszna listed in Baltimore MD census in 1940 but not 1950.Living with my grandparents Louis & Martha Konieczny in 1940.

This woman, Joanna Pospieszny, is buried in the same cemetery as the Koniecznys: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/274583471/joanna-pospieszny She is buried in the same plot of Jacob/Jakob Pospieszny so it is likely he is her husband. I don't think Pospieszny would be her maiden name. It would be very unusual for a widow at that time to revert to using her maiden name.

Boracki is the maiden name of Martha Konieczny, according to the obituary cited at FindaGrave here: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/55696462/martha-konieczny

I'm looking for more information on Joanna...

I think this is Johanna/Joanna in the 1910 US Census as "Anna Pospieszuy" wife of Jakub Pospieszuy. The children with them are listed as his step-children although they are also using his surname. Martai is likely Martha. She is the correct age. www.familysearch.org/.../1:1:M2XR-H7C

Several records and trees at Ancestry.com have Johanna/Joanna/Anna's maiden name as Kuczynski (or similar) and her first husband as Wojceich Boracki (or sometimes George Boracki.)

Thank you so much for the information! I am so intrigued by the earlier census records that I wouldn't have thought to look into.  I don't have a paid subscription to Ancestry, but use Family Search, so info is limited.

Glad to help! At FamilySearch make sure that you use the RECORDS section and not the public trees (which can be wrong.) Also use their Catalog section and Images section for records that have not been indexed digitally. Many of those have original indexes within them, though. FamilySearch actually has MORE information than Ancestry, I believe! You just need to know where to look.

Johanna can't be found in the 1950 census, because she died in 1940.
