. My grandmother name is Marthareen Galbert born 08/14/1922. grandfather John Henry Glover 06/22/1919 Caddo Louisiana.

Have you seen the 1940 and 1950 US Census records that show a Martharene or Martherine Galbert living either with or near Shedrick Brown in Hampton, Calhoun County, Arkansas? Perhaps Shedrick Brown is her uncle or other relative….? Of course that would need to be proven through other records....I’m trying to find more information.

• Yes I did and thank you so much. I I've reviewed those census so many times. The head of household is always the same name but the last name seems to change every year of the census.  The first name is the same minus the spelling. Birthdays are the same three first time I suspected my grandmother in a census her name was Myrine Brown. I think.  Her mother showed up in Alaska as well.  With only 1 child which was the sibling born right before her.  Ermaline Galbert.  It was definitely something going on because my grandmother never disclose anything  there's things o can't get out of my head Like Me and my siblings are very important people we come from kings and queens and we are Glovers and always be put on a back burner. And it's so true. I need to figure this out so I can change my fate

I found a 1943 marriage record for Martharine "Galbet" and Dennis Bowie which occurred in Pulaski County, Arkansas. I think this is the same woman since her residence was Hampton, Calhoun County, Arkansas. They were married by Reverend K. G. Goodlaw. MAYBE there are church records that reveal more re: her parents...? (although that is a long shot...)

In the Ancestry.com collection "Arkansas, Birth Certificates, 1914-1922" your grandmother's birth certificate has "Matha Rene Galbert" born August 14, 1922 to parents Albert Galbert and Luellen Browning. According to that record her parents were not married at the time. That would probably affect any legal inheritances on that side, but more research would need to be done on that. I'm still looking for information...
