Thanks, looked at 1940 census but in the early days of release so difficult to search. So if alive in 1940 would there be anything else I could try? Are deaths available online at all ?
Year of Immigration and Citizenship
Ques not in 1940 U.S. Census
In the 1930 Census YOI 1910 Citz. First papers
In the 1920 Census YOI 1912 Citz. Alien
Could not locate in the 1950 U.S. Census
I believe he died between the 1940 U.S. Census and before the 1950 U.S. Census in Providence. He is listed as single on all the Census records so no claim on his SS# was recorded
I checked all the records available on Ancestry and Family Search for any record of his death, no results.
A check of FindaGrave, Newspapers.com and Genealogy Bank also had no results.
He is included on a family tree on Ancestry
https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/73022571/person/332242755804/facts
But his death is listed as unknown.
Thanks Tim, found him on 1940 census, still unmarried lodger in Providence. Last mention I can find so either died after 1940 or perhaps moved to Canada or another state but can’t find any death etc. As poor with no family what would happen if he died? Thanks. On ancestry do you know whose tree he is mentioned in ?

Hi Sandra,
The link that I posted cannot be viewed unless you are an Ancestry member, my error.

The person who posted this family tree lives in England and has another 25-family trees among his records. All the records relate to the Family Tree in England up to the 1901 Census, there are no records for North America. The list of brothers and sisters are:
All listed with death dates were married with some children.
Yes this is my tree so may well be another relative that I correspond with. Albert Charles was my grandfather, a locomotive driver. I have traced most of these but Harold Walker’s end not found yet.
