Birth & Location of William S. Brown

I am trying to locate a birth date and location of William S. Brown (1784 we think), died in 1851 in Pike Co., GA. We have been told he was from Spotsylvania, VA but haven't been able to verify that. We can confirm that he married Polly Owen in 1829 in Upson Co., GA. Any help is appreciated. Many Thanks.
