I'm trying to find the 1930 Census for King Co (Brooklyn) NY
If you are looking for a specific individual, there are name indexes available and street indexes to enumeration districts for Kings County (Brooklyn) NY. Or you can go through the 2,560,000 people there on the population sheets. To see the census pages go to: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/1037490 and on page 10 of 27 for New York state 1930 will start Brooklyn's population schedule film links. Registration needed, but it's free.
Thank you SO much Joel!
If you would like to search by name use: https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1810731
Enter "Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States" for Place.
couldn't find her- tried my grandmother and mother but got no response They both show up on the 1920 and 1940 census but the 1920 if almost impossible to read being handwritten and messy. How would I get an official copy of the 1920 census in hopes that it may be more legible.
If you had an address I can knock on their 1920 door! With the address go to https://stevemorse.org/census/unified.html Change the top to 1920. Select State NY, City Brooklyn.... then pick from the list your street name. Find out what other streets are on the same block. Pick thoxd until you are down to a single ED # which s a link to eventually the first image of that ED #. Note: they may not have participated and that address is not on the ED but you would know they were missed.
