I could not find Alberta Weathers in the 1920 US Census in Port Gibson, Claiborne, Mississippi. She should have been living with her father Briscoe Weathers, as were her siblings.
I did find that her parents, Briscoe Sam Weathers and Jessie Martin Weathers had a contentious divorce in 1916. He was awarded custody of their three children: Allen, Alberta, and Lenora.
You can see their divorce case online for free (with registration) at FamilySearch.org, beginning with Image 611 and continuing to Image 626:
Part of this case involved Jessie not returning Lenora to her father Briscoe. Perhaps later she did the same with Alberta...?
I'm still trying to find more information...
Thank you.
