Column 4 of the 1910 census has the symbols H -0+ for widow heads of household. What do those symbols mean?
The 1910 enumerator manual paragraph 113 at https://usa.ipums.org/usa/voliii/inst1910.shtml shows that only "wd" should be put in reference to marriage status. But after the census was done, probably some statistical study was done and notations put on the sheet.
