I’m looking for my grandfather in the 1930 census. He could be in Cook County, Illinois or in North Dakota. Last name is Klingenstein and first name could be under Ben, Bennie or Benjamin. I have looked on Ancestry, FamilySearch and My Heritage.

KB, I alsousing FamilySearch couldn't find them. The U.S. Census is not perfect. There is one paper (Social Science History 19:4/winter 1995) that indicates the Undercount (those not enumerated) was for 1930 5.3% That means 1 in about 20 people were missed. Unless you have a firm address, and can go to the ED # that has that address, and see the residence was missed, you will never really know if he was missed or not.
