1930 census

Question

I&rsquo;m looking for my grandfather in the 1930 census. He could be in Cook County, Illinois or in North Dakota. Last name is Klingenstein and first name could be under Ben, Bennie or Benjamin. I have looked on Ancestry, FamilySearch and My Heritage.

 I searched U.S Census records for your grandfather in 1930. It appears that he was not listed on the 1930 census records that we currently have in our holdings. However, he was listed on the 1920 and the 1940 census records. 
 The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) does not have the authority to make definitive statements about the accuracy of the information provided in one historical record versus the information provided in another record. As with any transcribed information, there was always the possibility of human error. Or it is possible that unforeseen circumstances could have caused the enumerator to miss transcribing your ancestor on the 1930 census.
