Is it possible to locate the address of someone who is listed in the 1950 Census?
Is it possible to locate the address of someone who is listed in the 1950 Census?
BillHall1948,
Yes, usually the address is on the left hand side. The street in written sideways and the street number is in the house number. Here is a snipped copy.
Thank you very much for that answer! I greatly appreciate it!
Now, my new problem is that I cannot relocate the name that I had located on May 20, and it does not appear to be in my history anywhere. I apologize that I am a novice at using the census records, and not adept at it all.
If you, or anyone, can help me relocate the name of my uncle, John J. Timko, which I had found in the census records two days ago, I would greatly appreciate it!!
In 1950 he lived in Pennsylvania, Washington County, Monongahela, and his occupation was Steelworker - Moulder. Right below his name was listed my aunt's name, Anne Timko.

Bill, You should learn how to use FamilySearch.org. Registration required but it's free. So I enter the name, and residence in 1950, and get: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHN-GQHW-F9BM-6?view=index&personArk=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3A6X13-YX9T&action=view There are other online uilities for finding the 1950 census respondents.

Thanks Joel. I have tried Family Search but didn't have much success. I'm just getting into this.
