In 1850, I find my ancestors living a few years in the 17th ward of New York County or Parish (NY State). Could someone help me out and tell me where the 17th ward was? they only lived there for 5 years.

Hi   I found my ancestors the Webers lived in the 17th Ward of County/Parish of New York in the state of NY on the 1850 census.   Could someone help me locate the 17th ward geographically in NY.  In reviewing the census report, I see that 90% of the neighborhood indicated the families were headed by German parents. This must have been a popular German community. In 1854 my ancestors moved to Menasha WI in 1854 which was also heavily populated.
