Re: 1890 Census for New York State -- I am in search of records for Onondaga County (Syracuse NY).

The 1921 fire and subsequent water damage destroyed most of the 1890 census.  Here's what remains: https://www.census.gov/history/www/genealogy/decennial_census_records/availability_of_1890_census.html  On the other hand, New York State had their own census in 1892 which should include Onondaga county.
