I would like to trace a family who lived in Syracuse, NY (Onondaga County) in the early 1890s.
Was this County included in the Census records destroyed in the January 1921 fire?
Thank you for any help you can provide.

The 1921 fire and subsequent water damage destroyed most of the 1890 census. Here's what remains: https://www.census.gov/history/www/genealogy/decennial_census_records/availability_of_1890_census.html On the other hand, New York State had their own census in 1892 which should include Onondaga county.
Thank you, Joel, for your prompt response. I will continue my 'deep dive' into NYS census records, beginning with 1892.
