Are state census records available for Michigan for 1940's 1950's 1960's ?
ForMe,
The answer is no. I have two references, a book by Ann Lainhart on "State Census Records" that indicate the last Michigan state census was 1904, and a government publication that might be online.... Henry Dubester, 1948, U.S. Dept. of Commerce and Library of Congress: "State Censuses: An annotated bibliography of censuses of population taken after the year 1790 by States and Territories of the United States". The later book indicates there was a 1935 state census, a sample, for unemployment statistics.
Thank you for the information.
