Can't find my 3x ggf Jesse Columbus South in a Virginia census for 1870

I didn't find them on FamilySearch with a name index.  However, if you have patience, the 1870 census sheets for Washington County, VA are online and you can slowly look through the sheets.  The film https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSVT-7L1?i=512&cat=698924  film # 008129650 has 1140 images and Washington County starts on image 513.  FamilySearch requires a free registration.  However note, as one author stated (JD Hacker 2013) "The 1870 census suffered a higher net rate of omission than any other census.  The net undercount was especially high in the South, probably reflecting the  unsettled conditions in the aftermath of the American Civil War."
