History "sporterized" Remington rifle model of 1917

Question

I inherited a Remington rifle US model of 1917 .it is a sporterized version, not an Enfield rifle. Seriel number 573695. I have seen many on the net just like mine. An entry in 2020 by "cougarz" says Remington created this model in 1918. Is it a recognized Remington model? Did Remington use spare WW1 parts from the Enfield rifle to make a hunting rifle? When was my rifle made? Please share any history of this gun model. Thanks

 Military records in the custody of the National Archives do not include the record of assignment and operational activity of individual pieces of equipment. Under normal War Department and Department of the Army records management procedures, such documentation would be destroyed after initial administrative use. The federal government also did not keep track of surplus firearms made, modified or refurbished by private companies for the civilian market. Such records would have been created by the company itself, and, if they still exist, might be with the legal successors of the company. 
 We regret that we could not be of more assistance. Hopefully other community members will be able to provide additional information that might exist outside of the National Archives&rsquo; holdings.
