These records are in Record Group 21, Records of District Courts of the United States. The series is Civil Case Files, 1933 - 1988, National Archives Identifier 559845.
Cases in 1980 are arranged by year and then case number. Please contact the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington, DC at this email address: archives1reference@nara.gov. There are finding aids that will help staff locate case files by docket number or the names of the parties involved.
