This community is for military, Official Military Personnel Files (OMPF), civilian, Official Personnel Files, (OPF), and auxiliary military and civilian personnel records. The accessioned OMPF, OPF, and auxiliary military and civilian personnel records that are open to the public are primarily stored in the National Archives at St. Louis. The unaccessioned records that are only open to the veteran, next of kin, or employee are stored at the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC). The National Archives at St. Louis and the National Personnel Records Center are the central repository for personnel-related records for both the military and civil services of the United States Government.
