    RG 546 Exercise Files

    Elliot Schneider Adventurer

      Hello NARA,

Need help determining the RG 546 looks like some of these were transferred from RG 338 to this new RG 546. Looking for Exercise for the 14th Corps, and 5th Army for 1960-1962 within these records. Here is the information below.

      Record Group 546:

Records of the U.S. Continental Army Command, 1949 - 1982

      Series:

      Exercise Files, 1954 - 1962

      NAID # 7586598,

      A1 95-A

      A1 95-B

      A1 95-C

      Thanks,

      Elliot Schneider

          Dear Mr. Schneider,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched the series titled Exercise Files, 1954-1962 but since the files are roughly arranged by exercise name, we were unable to determine if XIV Corps or Fifth Army were involved in these exercises. The most prominent names of the Exercises were SAGEBRUSH, FOLLOW-ME, BREAKTHROUGH, BRIGHT STAR, CLOVERLEAF, PINE CONE, DARK CLOUD, EAGLE WING, DRAGON HEAD, DRY HILLS, ELKHORN, JUMP LIGHT, LAVA PLAIN, LUCKY DELTA, QUICK STRIKE, and DESERT STRIKE.

We strongly suggest that you come and look through the records in person. RDT2 is located at 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park, MD, near the University of Maryland--College Park campus.
